Injector Points
Cleaning Injection point - see diagram - usually screwed into the water flow in a 'T' , sometimes they are screwed into a large cylinder (usually gray in color) called a mixer.

1. Turn off water source, usually there is a ball or gate valve to stop the water flow

2. Turn on a faucet or something downline, on the product side as to release any buildup of pressure; if there is another valve that shuts water off that is already in the home, turn this off too to isolate the entire area that you are working on.

3. Unscrew the nut that is holding the black tubing

4. Now using pliers or channel locks, unscrew the injection point, unscrew all the components-note how the injection point comes apart as to be able to put it together again.

5. soak the pieces in 1 part Muriatic acid, and 3 pars water until clean.

6. put the injection point back together, use very small amounts of Teflon if needed, 1 ½ wrap around, no more.

7. now wrap the bottom threaded portion that screws into the water way( the t or mixer) with Teflon tape, about 3 wraps should do

8. screw the injection point in snugly, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN

9.  You can always tighten more if it leaks

10. now reattach the 3/8 tubing with the nut ( remove ½" of the tubing with a knife)

11. turn your water back on. You are done.
